Help me! My Performa is sad —Iain Hendry
Thanks to Chris and Calum, I've got a beautiful Macintosh Performa 580 CD siting on my desk (next to my IKEA KIMSTA and IVIKEN). (URL) my delight when the Digital Camera I bought (off Calum) came with a DB9 to Apple Serial connector. Joy! Perhaps (...) (23 years ago, 25-Apr-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Hmmm...sounds to me like you need a self-extracting version of Stuffit Expander. If you can't locate one via their website, contact me and I'll see what I can do.           Re: Help me! My Performa is sad —Erik Olson
One way to get Stuffit Expander is to get a MacAddict magazine with a CD. I think it's been on every CD. It also comes on Netscape CDs, maybe even on AOL CDs. (and I can't believe it's not on your System cd .. though you need a Stuffit version 5 or (...) (23 years ago, 25-Apr-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

You can order a Netscape CD from their web page, I think it's the same deal with IE. You could also try installing AOL or some other service that sends you their disk. That should get you a web browser. (...) (23 years ago, 25-Apr-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
