Well, it does offend me on a ewweeeeee level, but on a practical level
its fine. as a guy who'd electric bill went up because of all the wall
warts powering the rcx's.....

BTW a question to the group. Is there a FOR SURE answer to this:

with the rcx 1.0, if powered via the jack, AND batteries are in the
compartment, is there any battery power loss??

I vaguely remember putting 6 NEW aa batteries in one of my rcx's AND
running my robot with it ONLY using the AC power adapter, yet, the
battery level is below 9v dc.....

I have an RCX 1.0 (w/ power jack) and an RCX 2.0 (w/o power jack). I will be using both in my rtl10 entry. Here's my problem: For my bot to work properly, I need both RCXen to be powered from an adapter. Since the 2.0 has no jack, I have thrown (...) (22 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
