People shouldn't have to speak up to say dinner is on the second
Friday of the month.
If we want to change it we shouldn't be doing it the day dinner is
expected.
We've discussed the fact that constantly and spontaneously changing
the dinner was a problem for people. My understanding was we would
have dinner on the second Friday and those that could make it would
make it and those that couldn't wouldn't.
There are people out there, like me, who can't respond to the forms
during the work day. If I wasn't taking today off I wouldn't be
replying to this message till this evening. Hardly ample opportunity
to respond to the change in dinner.
Now everyone is going to be confused about what is really happening.
Are we having dinner tonight like we agreed we would, or have we
called it off at the last minute.
Who will tell those that don't get to see this last minute change if
dinner is canceled? Who will tell those that now assume it's
canceled if we decide to go ahead with it?
