They are the goofy edged flat things on the trees in my backyard. They
form the logo of a famous hockey team. Maybe you have heard of them?
They are the Toronto Maple Leafs.
They also form the logo in the middle of my country's flag - that's
Canada of course.
You're not that far south in Toronto that everything is still green :-)
I was just down there yesterday.
Oh, and if you want to see something really freaking cool come up
to Owen Sound and see the bigass windfarm they are building just north
of Shelburne.

I flew to Winnipeg last week and it was visible from the air!
When I go to TO, I often pass trucks hauling portions of the towers
and sometimes I pull over just to look at the cranes on site.
