Hi folks,

Here's what I'm going to be bringing to train2:

http://peach.mie.utoronto.ca/people/tsangc/nglcl/train2layout.jpg

Note that while the ends are spaced to the PNLTC spec, the lengths are
off.

That's because you didn't follow specs on your end module, and you've also
pre-defined the width of our layout now. :)

I have put up a few tentative layouts at

http://24.141.26.239/ltrain.htm

i modified my switching yard a bit and may upload the latest image tonite,
but basically i take the last switch and just curve it up to the top where
it goes the edge at exactly 4 studs from the edge, thus making this module
able to connect to another layout either at the side or at the top.

that's the part i like.

are we also having another line, as shown in Calums, run through our layouts?
my little vote is to have only the outside edge as a continous run because
having a track 'cut thru' the center of my layout would make my switching
yard verrry tiny.

anyway, my 2 cents, but, a la lemming (thanks chris) i'll go with the
majority of the crowd.

the first module i'm building is my switching yard, then if i have time,
track, modules and patience left, i may build a town.

(...) The impression I got from Iain and JeffVW on group was that there was a desire to run two rings, which I think is pretty nice too-it lets you have two operators on a main line. The problem is where. The outer line yes, everyone agrees on that, (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

I feel I must wade DEEP into this debate. Over the course of the past few days much has been said about the train modules. discussion was about what size and or standard. I would like to suggest my own standard. I was messing about with track (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
