    robots, not trains —Rob Stehlik
Hi everyone (but especially the robot people). I thought I would post a pretty dumb question that I already know the answer to. But the point is, that it is a robotics question, and we are seldom seeing anything but trains here these days... So here (...) (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: robots, not trains —David Koudys
(...) I've had 3 rcx's for a while and I've never had them talking to one another. that's an oversite on my part think i'll try it (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: robots, not trains —Calum Tsang
(...) Well, couldn't you set up a program which watches the sensor port for a resistance value and when you flip the switch, have it trigger a subroutine? I think its cool, that our little LUG (sorry Calum) is popular. and I'll even be be happy to say that i don't care if this lug is populated with posts about EITHER Trains or robots. HECK, if there (...) (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: robots, not trains —Chris Magno
(...) Any RCX needs the run switch pressed. either by pressing the green button on the unit itself, OR by sending it the IR command for run. (like the remote) As Calum typed, and I just tried, have the second rcx run in a loop of nothing, UNTIL a (...) (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: robots, not trains —Ross Crawford
(...) Except if you use LegOS. You can compile the program as a native srec, but you need to put code in the startup to run your program when it's switched on, or equivalent. Regards ROSCO (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
