Ahem, onwards to rtl16, thank you —Calum Tsang
Let's go and install Linux at the InstallFest! I spent my summer vacation learning Klingon! B'kayf tagrh, b'yafaft! (Translation: "Let's use Debian/stable (potato), its support for our disruptor cannons is much better with the 2.4 kernal") Who's up (...) (21 years ago, 9-Feb-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) OK, listen up Mr. The-speed-bump-is-to...my-Accord. don't make me drive to your place of work, and hit you. this C$ code only is a GREAT idea. I am VERY interested in it. it is LEGO related, it is event related, and cause we hosted the first (...) (21 years ago, 9-Feb-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) At least with LEGO, you just add another RCX if you run out of ports. It's not like you have to fight with Electrical to drop in another I/O card. "WAAA, then we can't use a standard panel, WAAAAA." "Where will I put the brake resistors then? (...) (21 years ago, 9-Feb-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Iain, I sense deep frustration in this post. (...) Why not call them a WAAAAmbulace. Or get them some (cheese or cork) to go with that whine. (...) You would have LOVED to see the machine my Dad and this other German toolmaker designed. It took in (...) (21 years ago, 9-Feb-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) : shiver : The thought of having to machine parts that are small enough to handle THOSE parts make me want to hide. That's frightening. (...)       (...) Is there a reason to eliminate the battery box solutions? I understand if RCX-less robots are allowed, Rob will show up with something really cool, that flys up the rope, and wins the event, but doesn't have any program. What's wrong with (...)        (...) yes, and no. but more like no. (gadder 'roud chit-lins unc-y chris, gonna tells y'all's a story) rtlToronto was first created as a way to meet like minded lego enthusiasts in the Toronto area. this was a bit of a flop, and quickly turned into (...)      (...) I will just make Prog#1 look for white and Prog#2 look for black, hence save one sensor from looking at the square colour. (...) Not really. What is stopping me from just aim a battery bot to run stright toward the correct rope? (21 years ago, 10-Feb-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Ahem, onwards to rtl16, thank you —David Koudys
(...) Absolutely nothing, but it is one step more removed from a straight battery box solution. Placing the end of the rope above the 'bot height is the first step, then making your 'bot pick the rope with the same colour as the starting square. If (...)    (...) Now *that* is a troll! Ok, I'll bite... everyone knows that Brian May performed "Too Much Love Will Kill You" on a Roland RD-1000. As for Knuth or D'n'D... that's way to geeky for me.
