(...) It was a good presentation. But I was baffled why no rtlToronto folks were in the scree runner mechanical competition... it was pretty exciting! (...) I believe it's some sort of a demo/contest involving a rover crossing 9747-sized box filled with Lego pieces. I caught the 'back pack cam' as it was looking down on the game field. (...) Was going to mention this a while ago actually – my apartment building has a “party hall” that can be rented out for about $60. (...) I don't think this is a requirement, but it is nice to have. Doesn't have to be very large. I think everything on the layout should be reachable within the width of one module. I've captured one of my deisgns that I think is fairly good: (URL) 10 & 2/2 modules * 2 full loops for added engineer time * "Hightown" area raised 18 bricks encompassing 2 modules * Tunnel under Hightown for the lower loop * Either loop could be (...) I've been creating dozens of layouts in TrackDesigner. I see some things recurring, and I wanted to know how people felt about the importance of including certain features in a layout: (A) An "inside" centre space. _Description_: The modules, in at (...) So I've done a little more thinking. First, it occurs to me that this layout is sort of the minimum sized big-8 layout: (URL) requires 7 modules.
