  BattleBots S4 on Comedy Network

Just realized it tonight-Channel 44 (Rogers) Comedy Network is running BattleBots Season 4-first episode was tonight.   Re: Finished! Quadro Assembly Carousel

(...) Iain, I have to add my congratulations for this project! I have worked on many real-world carousel assembly machines, including one that assembles 35mm film casettes and one for firearm cartridges. You sure have captured the appearance of a (...) Really great construction, very cool movie (but with one colored marble the cycle would have been easier to follow...) ...and you built that in only 3 1/2 h ???? I still have to improve a lot my building skills :p Philo www.philohome.com (...) (22 years ago, 24-May-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: rtlToronto is on Slashdot

(...) after he posted it. (...) Peach handles load well--all today it really didn't break much of a sweat, load averages were relatively low, at least while I was on it during the afternoon.   Re: Finished! Quadro Assembly Carousel

Whoa! Great piece of work, Iain. Nobody does this better than you. You are the marble king! The movie shows a very smooth operation. I don't see any "flying marbles". Very well engineered and fun to watch. BTW your presentation is very professional. (...) (22 years ago, 24-May-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Winners Finds

(...) Iain, (1) From what I can remember, this term dates back to 1936. In 1936 a HUGE fire broke out in a waterfront pulp and paper warehouse. Three people lost there lives. Reports in the local paper at the time (the Torontonian) say that the (...) (22 years ago, 24-May-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Winners Finds

(...) Is "Big Smoke" a nickname for Toronto? If so, where did it come from? Iain (22 years ago, 23-May-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Winners Finds

(...) One of the few things I know about the Big Smoke is Yonge Street. I was nowhere near that one. The Winners I was at is across from I think is Dufferin Grove Park. It's a quick walk from Landsdowne and College (where my girlfriend lives). The (...) (22 years ago, 23-May-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Winners Finds

I was at Winners at the Dufferin Mall (the one a block above College, I think--Dave, the Torontonian, knows not the Big Smoke...) Anyway, at Winners there were lotsa LEGO sets, can't remember all the numbers, but there were a few big Arctic sets for (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Scientific American Frontiers - Robotics

Re: Scientific American Frontiers - Robotics

(...) Bah. You're asking rtlToronto. The answer is as obvious as the Friends season finale or a rerun of Junkyard Wars :) Thanks for the tip-I missed the robot soccer section, but saw the submarines and the tipping game.   Scientific American Frontiers - Robotics
