  RC robosoccer

Hi everyone, After reading Calums post about using Manas in the next robotics competition, it got me thinking. I do like the idea of an RC competition, but lets forget the Manas. Check out this link: (URL) guys have figured out how to a bunch of (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Programming, NQC and the RCX

(...) As the others have said, 32 variables is the limit for the standard firmware. The new 2.0 firmware gives you a bit more (I think you can have a few more global variables). But, heres my take on the matter: Why do you need two 1x16 arrays? I (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Derek's train clearances

So I ripped the top off my mountain and had a poke around inside. I did some measuring and comparing, and I've got a diagram of what I'll have to move to get his train through. It's not pretty, not even a little bit; there are about 8 pillars and (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Office pictures

(...) I got it from a web site called BrickDreams. If you search lugnet news for it you'll see all the discussions. Unfortunately the site is no longer available. Its too bad, because he created allot of cool backgrounds. Derek (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Train 3 Height and Width

(...) Well thanks for the confidence, Larry, but after attending the train show MonLUG did in Laval, it seems there's just so much work to do. MonLUG set a very high standard-and their layout was top notch. Doing a group layout that works that well (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Train 3 Height and Width

(...) My problem is that all but one of my modules contain 2 story + buildings, and they are almost all located on the side of a module.... I was figuring it out, and I do believe that it is possible.... I just have to be absolutly sure that I drill (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Pics of my bot

(...) Well ya, that's what I'm saying. OK, no more on this, OK? It was just a throwaway comment for fun (who'da thunk to see DUPLO on a robot!!!), let's not beat it to death. (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: faster than a 48x CD re-writer

(...) It is a factor of the pattern, in combination with the algorithm. The hardware, unless it provides more capability than your average XY+grab (ie, grab two, scan more etc) has nothing to do with it at all except individual move execution speed. (...)   Re: Train 3 Height and Width

(...) well, think of it like this: Say you build your frames at 24 inches. That means 11 inches between the three holes. Put your taller modules as the bottom and middle, and your lowest module (ie, a flat, buildingless module) on the top. That way (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  silver bullet pic uploaded

I also uploaded a pic of my (metroliner) silver bullet engine on Brickshelf. I wanted to make a decent title page for my "finished designs" on my MOCs. This pic is mostly for my enjoyment, since I had such a fun time making it... is this engine (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.trains)

  wembly fire station updated

I "renovated" the fire station I usually display at the train shows... I spent a bit of time laying down tile (88 tiles just for the apparatus floor), re-arranging the apparatus room so both fire hall rolling garage doors were together, with the (...)
