  Re: Mindstorms fabrication/manufacturing line...

(...) It's being picked up by blogs now, try this link if you're having trouble with YouTube: (URL) truly a labor of... well, large proportions. Not to mention a generous supply of RCXs. It looks very cool. I'd show it to my kids, but they're (...) (18 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Mindstorms fabrication/manufacturing line...

(...) Oops! Its still working for me tho, maybe you have been banned. Just so you know what you are missing, its an assembly line, like Iains ducks, but the product isnt a duck, its a car, and the assembly line is a "bit" longer. (...) Yes, web, I never post by mail... and I dont think I had a trailing "," but I guess I could have, could that have been enough to give that response? Janey Red Brick (18 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Mindstorms fabrication/manufacturing line...

(...) Wow! Janey brought down YouTube!! The page cannot be found, so I went to the root 'www.youtube.com' and nada. Janey--you really are the best of the best! :) Dave K (18 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Mindstorms fabrication/manufacturing line...

(...) This is via the web interface? Did you really have that trailing ',', or was that a separator between more newsgroups? (18 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Mindstorms fabrication/manufacturing line...

(...) That machine is ingenious. I like the way he has his RCX bricks communicating by traveling along with the assembly line. I also like the frame he made to hold the wheels while the body was pushed onto them. Brilliant. (...) This reply is (...)   Mindstorms fabrication/manufacturing line...

I was really impressed with this Youtube vid I just found while surfing, the vid is a bit slow but OH so cool (at least in my opinion) (URL) Red Brick btw (incase anyone else is reading this)... I actually tried posting this to lugnet.robotics ... (...) (18 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Quality issue - update

(...) I would be interested in the result, Rob. Just for your information: CA has a much higher material damping coefficient in comparison to ABS. So CA will make less noise and sound very dump when it hits the ground. Especially for the classical (...) (18 years ago, 3-Jan-07, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: W O W ....

(...) What I really meant was a Dave-style robot: (URL) that's not as much fun as a Dave-size robot. :( On the other hand, if Dave was about 3 feet tall, I could say I was working on a Dave-size walking robot. :) Steve (18 years ago, 3-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Hi Rob, thanks for your feedback! In that case I would think these are US-made bricks, since the LEGO-logo on top of the bricks is of the old design. This has been used within Europe (= Billund made bricks) only in combination with CA-bricks (...) (18 years ago, 3-Jan-07, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Xmas Gifts?

(...) I didn't get anything either. I got a copy of U2's The Joshua Tree, which has been in my car radio for a week now. I did however spend some time (gasp) building stuff.   Re: Quality issue - update

(...) I wouldn't assume that 1965 was necessarily as good as, say, 1990. But you're right insofar as quality from the 60's and 70's is not necessarily the same quality as the 80's and 90's. If someone's really looking for proof or disproof of (...) (18 years ago, 3-Jan-07, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

(...) Not sure how you come up with that conclusion. These bricks are from my old sets, purchased in Canada between 1973-1978.
