  Re: Xmas Gifts?

(...) I didn't get anything either. I got a copy of U2's The Joshua Tree, which has been in my car radio for a week now. I did however spend some time (gasp) building stuff. On Christmas Day my future brother in law actually wanted to build the 8421 (...) (18 years ago, 3-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Quality issue - update

(...) I wouldn't assume that 1965 was necessarily as good as, say, 1990. But you're right insofar as quality from the 60's and 70's is not necessarily the same quality as the 80's and 90's. If someone's really looking for proof or disproof of (...) (18 years ago, 3-Jan-07, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

(...) Not sure how you come up with that conclusion. These bricks are from my old sets, purchased in Canada between 1973-1978. I am suspecting these specific bricks came from set 256-1 released in 1976. I would doubt that ir contained 10 year old (...)   Xmas Gifts?

Anyone get any good gifts for Christmas/Chanukah/K...zaa/Winter Solstice? I didn't. But the dog didn't die, so it was a good holiday. -Rob A> (18 years ago, 3-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: W O W ....

(...) Well, to each his own I guess, but I suggest you don't knock it until you try it. There's nothing quite like watching a creation you spent several days building do an end-over-end nosedive off a 3 ft ledge and landing on its wheels. Even if (...)   Re: W O W ....

(...) Aww I was kind of fond of that dome roof, the retraction was quite impressive on a nice evening... oh well. And to Magno... may I be so bold, I never said this place was "dead", I just oh so SUBTLETY (its a skill) alluded to it with the wind (...) (...) Getting rid of that round roof is a good idea. (...) I'm bummed I didn't know when the capicator event was. I could have dropped my little entry in a envelope and had it there in a day.   Re: Corner Gas episode called 'Block Party' - AFOLs involved?

I've been asked to do some strange TV related projects, but I've always found from a scoping standpoint, entertainment people (eg, production managers, PA's etc) have a really poor understanding of how (...)
