Re: Yet another blog, and video, and build, and... whatever...

(...) That's the exact configuration I had, down to the axle joiners :) Problem is, the spacing is too far--it doesn't grip the brick. It's like as if it needs an extra millimeter of diameter on each wheel. I might 'cheat' and put some rubber bands (...) (19 years ago, 22-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  One more rule verification

If I have two 'bots that start in 1x1x1 cu ft, and both have transfer openings, and at the word 'start', these two 'bots separate and go about their business... At the end of 3-5 minutes, do blocks in each 'bot count together, or separate? Dave K (19 years ago, 22-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Yet another blog, and video, and build, and... whatever...

(...) I enjoy these blogs, btw. I've been trying to build a block cannon and one of the problems was getting the blocks to slide down the channel properly. I will set up a blog page for mine tonight. Has anyone figured out a good spacing and choice (...) (19 years ago, 22-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Yet another blog, and video, and build, and... whatever...

(URL) which I go on about my latest build--it's together and all the parts work separately, but, as noted in the blog, when put all together, there were a few issues. That didn't stop me from making a blog about it... And since block transfer videos (...) (19 years ago, 22-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Sounds pretty fool proof, looks very impressive how you don't need a motor or anything. Vitali (19 years ago, 22-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: one more video

(...) i made the "handle" part wider then a T.O. width; so that only something to the "right" of the block depositor will have a flat enuff surface to "depress" the block, ~THEN~ I made the depositor part "off set" so that it has to be in a T.O. (...) What would happen if the handle is pressed by accident by some robot or the wall when its not lined up with a block transfer interface? Vitali (19 years ago, 21-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  March 4th side competition

I'm having so much fun building (and rebuilding and rebuilding) the 'bot for Project 'Y' that I'll probably have no time to build an entry for any side competition. As well, I'll be focused on the primary competition, so this is a round-about way of (...) (19 years ago, 21-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
