  Re: Few more questions

(...) I worked a little more on my cannon this weekend, shrinking its horazontal size significantly. Also increased it's power. I've also build my adder subtractor base. I'm just not sure I'm going to have time to complete it by contest time. (...) (...) (19 years ago, 20-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Sometimes I feel out of touch...

(...) I had the same experience recently at Bricks and Blocks. I walk in and there's a whole new series of X-Pods in new outer packaging. I didn't know about either... and X-Pods are one of my favorite product lines. :) If you haven't seen them yet, (...) (19 years ago, 20-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: event driven vs. timing driven code...

(...) You know, I'm man enough to eat my words from before...I am looking forward to this too. I spent a lot of the weekend working on my "you come to me, I'm lazy" robot. Prompted primarily by my friend Sacha, who wrote all the software for it. (...) (19 years ago, 20-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

  Few more questions

How many robots are coming? I'm asking because if I build a hopper to old 10 blocks, the hopper scratches the 1 foot high mark on my 'bot. Sure I could make it more complicated, but... ;) A more important question, however, is the scoring.. If half (...) (19 years ago, 20-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Sometimes I feel out of touch...

(...) The stors I visit have tons of Knights Kindom/Bionicle/Dino, a few tubs but very little else. Sometimes an exo-force, but I'm thinking what all this is telling me is that I should take more trips to cookstown Dave K (19 years ago, 20-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Sometimes I feel out of touch...

I was at the Wal last night and found a new set called the 8283 Telehandler, a cool looking fork truck. I can't believe I didn't know about this cool set. I suspect I've been missing out on all the cool sets the past five years because I never see (...) (19 years ago, 20-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Cybermaster Touch questions

(...) My CM sensors are really screwed up, they don't read consistently. I suspect my batch were manufactured incorrectly. Calum (19 years ago, 20-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Cybermaster Touch questions

Has anyone had "erratic" reading when multiplexing Cybermaster sensors? I am finding that with the SAME 3 sensors on the same wire, will change in "value" when I use different RCXen. THEN, when I put them back to the original RCX I get different (...) (19 years ago, 20-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: event driven vs. timing driven code...

(...) Yep Chris - it is a basic line follower type routine, with the only sneaky thing being that it always looks for the light staying the same or getting brighter (as it gets closer). If it looses the light in its FOV then it will reset an go back (...) (19 years ago, 20-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Short video of my seeking. (URL) (1) (its 4.5 meg - taken with a cheap labview web cam. ) right now, I have a few things I need to over come. 1.   Re: event driven vs. timing driven code...

event driven vs. timing driven code...

K, most of my codeing for every competition has been based mostly on timing--sure I had a few events, such as touch sensors and light sensors and such, but when touch sensors were pressed, the code was to back up for x seconds, rotate for x seconds, (...)
