Re: Project Why? Because I wanna ask!

(...) I sure dont. John Barns KILLED my dog!!! I saw it with my own eyes. He drove up here in a pick up with the LegWay logo on the side, and then aimed for that cute harmless puppy. It was evil. I cant be sure, But i think Steve H was in the (...) (19 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Project Why? Because I wanna ask!

(...) Uh...how about...NO. Didn't you read the item about: "Only Lego pieces can be used and only "normal" construction techniques-No sawing, gluing or melting of pieces. You can use as many or as few pieces as you wish." HiTechnic stuff has always (...) (19 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Project Why? Because I wanna ask!

Did we sign off on the non-LEGO built sensors? Would we be able to use HiTechnic stuff for the next competition? And if it's not a sensor, but more of a modified wire connector, such as Rob S. built for his firefighting 'bot-- (URL) this piece (...) (19 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: OT: Candu Computers

(...) This is probably one of the toughest systems engineering challenges out there. There's been a number of systems which have spanned 30 years...some of the mainframe software like IBM's CICS has been around that long. Nortel's DMS telephone (...)   OT: Candu Computers

I caught this press release: (URL) it states a Montreal company L-3 Mapps will be developing an updated Candu control computer, and will provide support for the next 30 years. 30 years! Look at technology 30 years ago compared to today.... what will (...) (19 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtl20 Rollcall?

(...) I would just like to inform you all, I did not use Killough, AB skid or the now very popular adder/subtractor. I have NO steering at all! Calum (19 years ago, 8-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

  Re: rtl20 Rollcall?

(...) K' this is just creepy.... I wanted to try something other than a straight A/B skid-steer and also put together a adder/subtracter drive platform I've been using for testing light sensor positioning, etc. (URL) This was before I added more (...)   (non-square brackets) rtl20 side event!

I've mentioned the 'spare time' we may have at rtl20, and I also threw out there the idea that we may want to run a side event along with Project Y. And no one else has volunteered, so here's something-- mini-battle 'bots! (or Live 4 (or wahtever (...) (19 years ago, 7-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: [rtlToronto] February Monthly Dinner

(...) I think maybe reverse psychology is needed. If I list pointless topics, then maybe the regular topics would be covered? In other news, I gave up on smooth sided octagons. Now I need more ports on the RCX for inputs. Calum (19 years ago, 7-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtl20 Rollcall?

(...) I built a Kilough Platform, it was nice, had great "plans," then, poof. I discovered that it would not take the weight of my EOAT, or the 6 Transfer Openings. So, I, like you, have opted for a A/B skid steed bot, but wanted to "jazz it up" so (...) (19 years ago, 7-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) I will be there. I don't know how my robot will stand up to what I see some of what you guys are building, but I still don't want to miss out on a day of some Lego robots fun. Vitali (19 years ago, 6-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtl20 Rollcall?

(...) As long as John comes though with lending me white and pink system bricks for the TO’s and BrinkLink delivers the lights on time, I should be able to field one of my classical “well built, but ran out of time to program” entries ;-) I still (...)
