  Mating Game - moc up

  Badger, Badger, Badger, Badger, Badger...

... I am speechless ... (URL) should be incarcerated for making me relive the horror that is the “2004 North Alaskan ‘Badger, Badger’ Cartoon Watching Endurance Marathon” (1). Ivan 1. no such thing, I just made that up, so don’t bother Googeling it (...) (19 years ago, 18-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: R20 - The Mating Game

(...) I say we need to call in a Steering Committee. We need some standards and practices! Ah screw it. I'll be grey. Regular grey. Come to think of it, I really don't want white anyways. Spittle? Oatmeal? Calum (19 years ago, 18-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: R20 - The Mating Game

(...) OK we have a problem. Dave caled White FIRST on rtl. and i dont recal who caled white first at dinner. so we can settle this in one of 2 ways. 1. cage match. 2. NO ONE gets white, and we go with steves idea and you can have whie and yellow (...) (19 years ago, 18-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: What Codec should I use?

(...) MPEG2 is the way to go. ATSC is defined on MPEG2, which means that every future forward TV system for the next several years will be able to decode MPEG2 somehow, since the ATSC SD and HD standard requires it. 25 mbit consumer DV to MPEG2 (...)   Re: R20 - The Mating Game

(...) I call Medium Blue (color # 102) for my bricks (not balls). This is gonna be fun. John (19 years ago, 17-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: R20 - The Mating Game

(...) hhmmmmm. Call me dense but I don't get it. Is there some sort of communication (IR) that the bots need to use? Or is this supposed to be a mechanical type affair? I would assume that two bots would have to "come together" somehow but can't (...) (19 years ago, 17-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: R20 - The Mating Game

(...) How will the robots be able to find each other? Are we gona use light sensors or lights to show where the "hopper" is? I call YELLOW. Can we use different tiles because I dont think that I have enough tiles of any colour? (Unless someone can (...) (19 years ago, 17-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: R20 - The Mating Game

(...) This should be a nice game to help get more beginners into the group. Instead of a 2x4 brick, could people use 3 2x4 plates? That will greatly expand the number of possible colors. Have fun. Steve (19 years ago, 17-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

multiple bots = was Re: What Codec should I use?

(...) hummmm we should discuss multiple entries... is this allowed??? i mean if you build 2 or more bots... then in theory you have a better chance of getting YOUR bots to mate... OK. how about a no in breeding rule???? thoughts? Chris (19 years ago, 17-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: R20 - The Mating Game

  What Codec should I use?

Calum very kindly lent me his Digital 8 camera so I can convert my old Hi8 collection to digital. My plan is to archive anything important in raw DV for future editing. But it's too much work and will take too much time to archive everything that (...) (19 years ago, 17-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: R20 - The Mating Game

(...) ACTUALLY, this will be a nice simple way to "register" your willingness to enter this contest. IF you want to play, call your colour, and mail or post it here. if you DONT, or just show up on the day, you might be stuck with some UGLY assigned (...)
