After thinking about it for weeks...

(URL) is what I came up with (scroll down to the train stuff...) THere'll be a mountain-ish thing in the upper right to tie in with Janey--so Janey, you actually don't have to extend into that area, I got it--we'll make the road continue into the (...)   Re: Few things to wrap up last weekend's train show

(...) After seeing it wobbling together again at the show, I agree. Although I'm not sure that the ends of the bridge need to be INSIDE the piers - I think all my bridge needs is some vertical support at the piers. At an early show using my bridge (...)   Re: Few things to wrap up last weekend's train show

(...) I want to rework the entier interface such that John's bridge terminates INSIDE the white pier on my side. This has always been a problem, largely because we never get a chance to have the entire layout together in such a way we can build and (...) (19 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Who wants Modules...

(...) Reading b/w the lines, I think what John is indeed saying is that he'd love some modules so he can set up his very own train layout in his house. Now we just have to get Chris fully on-side, and rtlToronto is a whole new cuppa tea... Dave K (19 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Who wants Modules...

(...) Ouch!!! That sounds painful and really bloody .... Getting engaged has changed you Jeff - you've gotten a lot more violent. :) John (19 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Who wants Modules...

After the problems that we seemed to have with leveling the layout, and the problems that imperfect modules can cause, I was thinking that perhaps we need some better quality modules... I am thinking of Asking Jen's father to help me make another (...) (19 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Toy Show Pics are up

(...) Ok, I wanna know. What's the mechanism driving the water lock? Just behind the dam? (URL) Seen Here> (URL) and here> I'm guessing it takes up some consideriable space behind the dam. Mark (19 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

Re: Few things to wrap up last weekend's train show

(...) Here is a link to the 'flaws' that I think we should have worked out before NMRA. (URL) note: Calum and I - Work on ancoring johns bridge so it does not sway. Jeremy - hole in the layout, and the Gutter train issues, Jeremy, I'll bring the (...) (19 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Help with redesigning a Boat Lock

For our current train layout I have attempted to create a working lift lock. Attempt 1: The lift lock project started about a year ago. My first designs used a scissor type construction ( XXXXX ) To try to raise the water, but there was not (...) (19 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: PreNMRA shindig

(...) Yikes, thanks Jeremy--I hope we didn't just invite ourselves...it will be extremely useful though. When is a good time for you? When would people have enough to be ready? Sometime in late June? Calum PS-I so don't want to section this (...) (19 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: PreNMRA shindig

(...) Last I heard, GFLTC was planning on changing that end of the layout a bit after seeing our mountain... I did take pictures of the contour of the layout with the purpose of sending it to them. Jeff VW (19 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: PreNMRA shindig

(...) Thanks for posting that Jeff, I looked up "NMRA" on BS just after I posted and found GFLTC's directory :) I'm thinking of building up a shore extending along our border. I'm just wondering if the GFLTC guys would want to build up along that (...) (19 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: PreNMRA shindig

(...) Who needs a laser level when a belt sander can fix rtl's uneven table woes? Someone go find out where how we're interconnecting to the rest of NMRA. Calum (19 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  PreNMRA shindig

I'm starting to worry we need a preNMRA assembly to get everything set up. Back to the free space question :( Calum PS-I fixed my TGV, I think it'll smooth over bumps better now. (19 years ago, 3-May-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Honda

(...) The theory behind it is the smart is rigid and uses the other car's crumple zone. That's why when it was tested against a car 3 times as heavy, it just blew a hole right threw it. The other car (a huge Mercedes sedan) had massive damage and (...) (19 years ago, 2-May-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
