Re: Open letter to the CEO of the LEGO Company / Call for your signs! (no discussions here please)

(...) The point is this topic was brought into the .rtlToronto forum. The members that use the .rtlToronto forum by it's very nature will both read and comment on what's posted in this forum. I do believe that is what it is for. If this topic hadn't (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Steve's Ball hanging out at Wendy's

(...) You piqued my curiosity (google rules). According to (URL) "Hot 'N Juicy" is the property of Oldemark, LLC and licensed to Wendy's International, Inc. along with other classics.....   Re: who does chris think he is?

(...) I agree with your reasoning, words aren't bad. It's all contextual. You can bet we're talking with people whose posts are inappropriate, trigger words or not. It's just that the ones with the f-bomb and such are only the most obvious. The (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Whilst endeavouring to clean up my LEGO stuff...

I stumbled across an extra RCX remote controller. I know Iown 2, but I'm pretty sure I don't own 3, but I appear to have 3 in my basement right now. So if anyone is missing a remote, let me know--I'll bring it to Feb. dinner. It's probably Jeff VW's (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: stepping up to the dead horse (was some other title)

Hm... I used to be extremely fanatic about LEGO, but I've long ago gotten to the point that taking Lego seriously at all would mean getting depressed over it. I just don't care enough about the toy these days to give a...eh, this is a public forum. (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: who does chris think he is?

(...) That reminds me of a few moths ago when I used 'jackass' in a post. It's a word that has been used on 'regular TV' (not cable or after 9 p.m.) but I was offered a polite warning via e-mail. So, on the one hand I'm all for common sense (my (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Open letter to the CEO of the LEGO Company / Call for your signs! (no discussions here please)

(...) I thnk we really have to stop misinterpreting people around here. Maybe there's an ESL thing going on, but I know I'm not in the 'anti-bringbackoldcolours' camp. I would definitely state, for the record, that if TLC chose to bring back old (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Steve's Ball hanging out at Wendy's

(...) Looks like it belongs along side of Wendy's "Hot-n-Juicy". Do they still use that ad phrase? -Patrick (20 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Can I hang out here for a while until it's safe at lugnet.general?

(...) Hey, sure! You can be a conscientious objector or a draft dodger up here :) (...) I just checked all of my Lego catalogs (hermetically sealed in a hyperbaric semianechoic storage chamber--actually, stored in a plastic bucket) and the oldest I (...)   Re: who does chris think he is?

(...) I know the difference between appropriate and inappropriate as well. I'm focusing in on this so called "pofanity" issue that the LUGNET admins seem to circling around like vultures waiting for prey. If they are not then I apologize for making (...) (...) And my point remains the same - if someone posts a message titled "Open letter to the CEO of the LEGO Company / Call for your signs!" to lugnet.trains, and I happen to be browsing lugnet.trains, I am going to assume that the letter is (...)   Re: Open letter to the CEO of the LEGO Company / Call for your signs! (no discussions here please)

(...) I'm sorry, I didn't realize that by posting on lugnet, I was pointing a finger in anyone's face. Please forgive my ignorance! Perhaps that explains all the foul language and ill will coming from the anti-bringbackoldcolors camp. I promise that (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: who does chris think he is?

(...) Thanks Kelly, One does not have to be college educated to be able to figure out if one has violated the ToS. I couldn't recite a single item from the ToS, because it has been so long since I read it. But I know the difference between crossing (...)   Re: who does chris think he is?

(...) This sort of highlights something that I wonder about. Are smaller, out-of-the way groups more suitable for otherwise questionable behavior? With things like off-topic.debate, it's skipped by default, so there's less chance that (say) a kid (...) It's not worth my time to slog through the garbage going on here anymore. I want to have an (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto) !

Re: who does chris think he is?

Hi Chris, nice to meet you. I'd've liked to converse under better circumstances, but needs must dictate. At any rate, you raise some very good points, and I appreciate your honesty.   Re: look at my balls

(...) Well, I have one on the go, and it's mostly white, which looks like it's a colour you need some of ;) But I doubt it would safely make the trip to BF, and I haven't heard any firm details about BF anyway, so it probably won't be there to even (...)
