  Re: Pre-Dinner

(...) Hit up the Toys R Us at Sherway (427 and QEW) on the way up? Iain will probably suggest visiting the airport, which is pretty if that's your thing.   Funifor!

I should have been working on my robot tonight, but I got SO excited when I found out about a new kind of Funitel, called a Funifor. There's only one in the world, 2 more coming in 2006. So I built one. (2 URLs) for the rest of they luxirious (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

I'm at at the "add motors" stage to my robot, and I was just mess'n around. it would seem the RCX 1.0 powered with AC and direct driving the large "motorcycle" tyres... could (...)   Re: Those RC car motors

(...) I built a sumo robot for BrickFest '04. Oh, sorry, that's right, can't mention sumo on this channel. Ok, I built a vanilla robot that happened to use two RC motors. First time I tried it on the kitchen floor, it damn near killed the cat. (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Those RC car motors

(...) Calum and I used the RC motors in our remote control robot for live2, where we used it to beat you. :) (URL) motors were used to drive the 4 bar linkage which flipped you over on your back many times. (Steves balls.) Iain (20 years ago, 14-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  OMG Calum is a funny.

I was reading the rules page. YES i was procrastinating, AND sometimes its easier to build a robot around a loop hole then a spirit of the game robot. then I read this: ---...---snip---...--- Winning Over the course of the day, robots will be run (...)   Those RC car motors

they are IIRC, high speed. Has anyone used them as a drive motor in a robot? (AND dave if you tell me about your babrie doll car I will mock you) did you gear them? (yes i know there are 2 holes/speeds) or are these better suited for the RC car and (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Dinner?

(...) Onomatopoeic! Ya, that's the word. The cool thing about discombobulated is that it's not a sound like traditional onomatopoeic words, but it still conveys its meaning through its sound. Derek (20 years ago, 14-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: That's alotta soccer balls

  Pre-Dinner

So I have arranged to work in Toronto tomorrow :) That means at 4ish I'll be downtown, off work, with my car.
