Re: Something someone mentioned a little bit ago...

(...) No, David brought it up. Although it may have started because I was complaining about having to fold shirts. Derek (20 years ago, 27-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Since peach is running Apache (URL) and php, you should be able to very easily drop in a gallery folder: (URL) I had one set up on my home server for a while. (...) I'd like to do a Live3 one day...JohnG had also mentioned doing regular old car racing. As for no holds barred, sure yeah, with RC defintely, RCX driven...it'll be like the steamroller scene in Austin Powers: Slow and drawn out. Ultimately (...)   Re: Christmas Train Show

(...) Uh, no. He can "expect" a kick in the pants from my foot! Where did THAT come from? I'm sick of all these damned train shows and their "expect a booth vendor" or "expect a kids play area" or "expect one of you to wake up at 5AM for an on (...)   Something someone mentioned a little bit ago...

With regards to an upcoming event--think it was Calum who mentioned that a long time ago Chris and I were interested in a 'no holds barred' robot destructo event. I was just thinking about it. I'm still very much game. If others are interested, (...) (20 years ago, 27-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Christmas Train Show

I just received the registration letter from Frank Steele, the event co-ordinator for the Train show Nov 20 and 21. In it he mentions that he's expecting the 15' x 15 LEGO train layout as well as an 'Interactive LEGO table for kids!' Did we promise (...) (20 years ago, 27-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) I also noticed one of the reasons Chris is having a problem with his robots. It appears he's trying to use his LEGO remote as a mouse for his laptop: (URL) bet he doesn't have the right driver loaded... (20 years ago, 27-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: [rtlToronto] rtlToronto15: Connect Four and rtlToronto15: Rope Climbing Photos Available

(...) Thanks Rob and Steve for your help! I wish I could put in a user-commenting feature, because it could give some of the builders some praise from other competitors or the public. I know you can do it, but I don't want to bother with CGI (...) (20 years ago, 27-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) I'm pretty sure "Vitali's father": (URL) this [cool] robot: (URL) seemed to be a good robot, with good software, but it had one loose touch sensor, which did not always signal EOT, keeping it out of the "final four". Steve (20 years ago, 27-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: [rtlToronto] rtlToronto15: Connect Four and rtlToronto15: Rope Climbing Photos Available

(...) I had this really manual way of making those old albums--little scripts in PhotoShop to make the thumbnails, a little Excel thing to generate the HTML manually. I'd put on some good music and manually go through all the photos, nodding to (...) (20 years ago, 27-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Onwards to rtlToronto18...

(...) A lot of these events is pure luck :) (...) This sounds pretty reasonable, an emphasis on towers with some for sorting and homing. Calum (20 years ago, 26-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Onwards to rtlToronto18...

(...) The more I think about this the more I agree with David. It's a block stacking event. You score points if you stack blocks. Derek (20 years ago, 26-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Onwards to rtlToronto18...

(...) What if we said that a 'bot could enter if it could only scan the Connect 4 board, or drop a chip anywhere and still be counted (though, so I'm told, that's what some of them did) The event is block stacking. We've done it 3 times before. If (...) (20 years ago, 26-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
