Re: Three new Technic sets I got in Germany

(...) Well, I imported three from Germany before they are available in Canada. Sold two, built the third for some time, then took it apart and used the parts for something else. It is useful for parts. (...) (Begin Shameless Plug) If you dig 8438 (...) (20 years ago, 18-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Finalizing Hobby Show Details

(...) I'm trying to get info on this--it's a completely differnet display if we're against the wall. Waiting to hear back. I think, thoguh, that we'll handle the display well no matter if there's a wall or not. As long as we're near the Meccano (...)   Re: Finalizing Hobby Show Details

(...) I thought we had more space then that last year. Location is an important detail. Are we up against a wall like last year, and are we bordered by another display. This will seriously effect the perimeter of displayable area. (...) Ya, it (...) (20 years ago, 18-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.loc.ca.on)

  Finalizing Hobby Show Details

The 2004 Hobby Show organizers are asking us for a few final details, such as the size of display we can put on for the throngs of people. From the e-mails sent to me, I believe that we can do a pretty good display for a 20 foot by 20 foot area. (...)   Three new Technic sets I got in Germany

While in Berlin last month, I ended up buying three Technic sets--the 8386 Ferrari 1:10 Racer, the 8438 Pneumatic Crane Truck and the 8439 Front End Loader. The FEL comes in the new X-ray style Technic box art work, but unfortunately is the (...) (20 years ago, 18-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

I get this call from JohnG today, telling me PaB is in Toronto at the Mastermind at Yonge and Lawrence...so I get in the car and drive to the Mastermind at Royal York and Dundas.   Re: So what Train is the Hobby show?

(...) Oops... yeah, I know Jeramy that they're two different bridges... I guess that I didn't make that clear. Drove through both bridges :) Very nice architecture all over town...or at least of what I saw in a few hours John (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: So what Train is the Hobby show?

(...) I'm originally from Seymour Indiana (18 miles south of Columbus). The second link is actually a different bridge than the first post (both located in Columbus). Columbus is reknowned for it's architecture and strives to make everything (...) (20 years ago, 13-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: So what Train is the Hobby show?

(...) My train tracks "float" on my bridge, just like last year (figures, since the bridge is the same). The bridge clears 11-stud wide trains, so it can definitely float sideways a little too, if required.... plus the bridge "floats" on the water (...)   Re: Hobby Show non-Train

(...) I'm helping out with the organization of the tables. So far we're basically good for space. Thought you'd bring the 'Spaceys' so that's already thought about.
