(...) So, during the qualification round, we're running robots against each other. How do you score them if they tie? Derek is suggesting we give it to whoever executes their total move time fastest. Calum (21 years ago, 5-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: ply vs turn

(...) Here are the problems I see with ties: 1. I think we are going to see a lot of ties. 2. If two robots tie, they are very likely to tie exactly the same way if they play again. Derek (21 years ago, 5-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Train 2?!? Better late then never...

I developed a couple of rolls of film on the weekend and discovered a roll of pics from Train2.. So here they are! (URL) images are a little blury, I had taken them with my fathers camera, which has since died.. Jeff VW (21 years ago, 5-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) really (...) I'll give ya a hand, man! I'll bring my palmtop and IR stuff so we can write the code on-site. I'll have my stuff there for my marble sorting robot anyway. Oh - marble size, I think they're 10 mm (~3/8"). Iain (21 years ago, 5-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  I have a robot! But...

Yes indeed, I have built a robot for marble sorting. It just needs possibly a little tinkering, and it needs a LOT of programming, but I'm pretty happy. And I did't wait to do it 24 hours before the competition! Shocking. I do have a few problems (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
