Well, I think I better scale myself down and go for 3 modules instead of 6. I'll try to fit our stuff into the 3 remaining modules in the lower right of the layout. Well, I cut all my 1x2's to the correct length, sanded them all down and the plywood too, and then went to put them together. Doh! Who would have guessed that a 1x2 was not really a 1x2? Here are four I took this morning. The easy two modules are landscaped, and part of the village has been prototyped, but the Big Ugly Mountain Module is barely started. That's this weekend. BTW the reason softwood lumber is a smaller size than what it really is, is because the lumber starts its life as a 1x2 (or whatever) then it DRIES and shrinks. this is (...) Jeff, if you have something ready, that's OK. I just didn't know that it had been taken. I can redesign our modules to go around a curve and back to the outside again or something. (...) cause 1/2" is the measurement of the INSIDE of the copper pipe. the thickness of the copper plus the inside of the 1/2" hole makes it a 5/8" outside diameter. and i don't care what Martin says, :) i still think the wood shrinks. geesh, who (...)
