  Re: Weekly quiz

One more thing, if there's a catch in the question, could you please rephrase it? The follow-up question in itself is rather badly worded, for instance if you are *actually* talking about a discontinued line that's no longer available, it's (...) You're right...They COULD all be elimination candidates, but at least 1 isn't [from the original list, I mean :) ]...back to you :) Benjamin Whytcross BWhytcro@PacificAccess.com.au Ph: (03) 9856 5282 Directory Technology Pty Ltd 1/436 Elgar Road, (...)   Re: Weekly quiz

Pick one of those I mentioned in my original reply. If those get eliminated - in fact, since you didn't say whether any were correct, I'd say they could all be elimination candidates. <gdr> Cheers ... Geoffrey Hyde Whytcross, Benjamin (...)   RE: Weekly quiz

(...) Ah yes...but maybe there's a little catch in the question...or the answer isn't as straight-forward as you think :) Note: I said i'd stay out of the guessing on this, but I'll say this much...I'll be providing scans [or at least a location (...)   Re: Weekly quiz

Uhh ... Benjamin ... About your follow-up question. It would seem a fairly safe bet that anyone guessing would have to pick *one* of the ranges mentioned below. AFAIK, Town and Trains have been the longest running, in fact, Trains is still going, (...) (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  RE: Weekly quiz

Well done...without even relying on the clues I'd guess [1] :) And to think...Frances was so close with the first guess...If only you'd looked through all the town sets...   Re: Roll Call form

(...) Fancy that! Being of similar vintage to yourself, I recall Lego being pretty common in the mid-late 60s, especially for those of us with middle class parents. Maybe I was just moving in a more Lego-ish circle? Kerry (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.org.au)

Well, I thought I said town...It's not a train, though I think some of them hung around for a while too. 6 hours or so to go :) Benjamin Whytcross BWhytcro@PacificAccess.com.au Ph: (03) 9856 5282 Directory Technology Pty Ltd 1/436 Elgar Road, Box (...)   Re: Roll Call form

Hey this is interesting, I read here that Craig writes in his roll call: {Set/theme you would like to see: Olympics}. I was sitting at work today actually thinking what they would be like (Lego Olympic sets). I also am drawing up some ideas that I (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.org.au)

  Re: Roll Call form

Hi Kerry, (...) That's right, no lego. (...) No, they were middle class. I spent every cent I had on another hobby back then (13+), but lost interest in the early 90's. My innate desire to collect things drew me to lego, which is durable and it's (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.org.au)

(...) Nothing beats a bit of Van Halen (Van Hagar or Van Roth) or Steve Vai playing real loud with a pile of Lego in front of you. Just like the good old days... (...) What kind of deprived childhood did you have, Mark? No Lego? Were your parents missionaries in Outer Mongolia or something? :-) I'm really interested that someone would take up a Lego hobby (as enthusiastically as you have) as an adult. I (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.org.au)
