Just a reminder that I'll be posting the answer to this question tomorrow
between 4 and 6 [possibly with a URL so you can see the pages it was shown
on in the catalogues...If i have time to scan them.]. For those who haven't
been following it, here's the question, clues, and 2 answers received so
far:
[I'm also thinking of giving a related question with the answer tomorrow
night which I'll answer if no-one can find the answer by Monday morning.]

Question:
Who can tell me which TOWN set [with minifigs, excluding accessories/people
packs/roads/tree/fence/sign packs] was available on the Australian market
[eg was in annual/in-box catalogues] for the longest period of time, and
which years it was available/shown?

Clues:
1) I'll give everyone one hint though, the set I'm thinking of [There's
always
the possibility that I missed one that lasted an equal or longer time] was
in catalogues for 5 years. If no-one gets it by thursday, I'll publish the
years that it was available, to see if anyone can get it then, but this
doesn't mean you can't continue guessing.

NOTE: I decided that with the information available that the years shouldn't
be needed, and will in fact take all the challenge out of the quiz.

2) There are exactly 2 wheels [not counting steering wheels (if there are
any
used...)] for each mini-fig in this set.

3) Todays clue for the set I'm thinking of...the last digit in the set
number is the same as the last digit in the final year it was shown in
Australian catalogues.

Guesses:
6386 Police Station. According to some quick research, available from 1987
to 1991 inclusive.
[matches clue 1, and so is a valid answer. Unfortunately, it wsn't the set I
was thinking of.]
6379 Riding School, available from 1986 to 1990 inclusive. Two mini-figs and
4 wheels on the horse drawn cart.
[Matches clues 1 and 2, and so is a valid answer. Unfortunately, it wsn't
the set I was thinking of.]

Good luck in the final hours :)
[I'll try and get on-line tonight sometime to check if anyone has worked it
out.]

BTW, if anyone else would like to post a quiz question, feel free to. Just
remember that the idea is to educate/confuse people about Lego in Australia
:)
