A+ is worth it only if your employer pays for it. Doesn't get you anything
as far as hiring purposes.
If you've used computers since you were a child, you should pass this in 5
minutes. It's an easy test.
When I hired a lot a year or so ago I was under the impression that if you
couldn't pass the A+ exam you shouldn't be working on computers. Then we
brought in some HR person to do the hiring and we hired guys that would show
me a pic of a parallel port and ask me if it was serial or
parallel.....sheesh
Good luck on the rest of the MCSE tests. I had to re-read some of the
replies, I thought one guy was saying you could pass the NT exams if you
were a computer geek. Had to re-read the post and saw the A+ question in
there. I didn't think the NT exams were that hard, but I didn't think a
person could pass it just off of knowledge garnered since they were 12,
considering the OS is techncially only 8 or so years old (not counting Lan
Manager days)

| (...) Yep, that's the impression I got. The 2 people I know who passed it probably know half what I know and they thought it was cake. (...) Thanks! I've only been playing with NT since a year or so after 4.0 came out, and only been working with it (...) (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
