Re: Possible virus sending large emails?

(...) Unfortunately, if the virus is W32.klez, there's nothing you can do, because it's likely not *your* computer infected. It not only sends messages to random people, but forges a random from header -- very evil stuff. I've been getting a message (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: I think its time for a meeting...

(...) The cluster is really nice stuff -- rackmount 1U dual piii3s, and all sorts of fancy management stuff so you can control them all from the head node. There's really cool free software called xCAT which controls it all -- see (URL). You set up (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

(...) should be pretty simple... lets say your windows is installed on the first partition on your first IDE harddrive (hda1)... so what you need to do is this (as root): mkdir /mnt/windows mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /mnt/windows -o uid=<your (...) (22 years ago, 16-May-02, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Linux Newbie question

OK, I understand I have to wrap my head around a different approach to drive and directory structure. But how do I mount a Windows FAT16 partition so I can access it in KDE or Gnome (or even better FAT32). Basically, I want to be able to get to my (...)   Fixing OE wrapping in news and mail

One of my friends pointed me to OE-QuoteFix ((URL) which reformats messages displayed in OE to fix line wrapping in quoting that OE is particularly bad at. By default the reformat isn't turned on, you have to enable it, but it also colours each (...) (22 years ago, 14-May-02, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: question about the metric system

(...) I reckon that if this is true, it would greatly depend on the type of wood that the cutting board is made of, the age of the board (e.g. a new board would have a greater amount of tannins and other allelopathic(1) compounds), what type of (...) (...) Yep, I got back into work today to find that I had apparently sent emails containing it to Tony Kilaras, Larry P and Scott S (which is very strange as I don't think I've ever emailed Scott).   Possible virus sending large emails?

Hello, I've been recieving several large emails (117K to 125K) at an account I use for just Lego communications. Most appear to be from people I've emailed about Lego. My research shows a recent virus worm is gaining ground. Here's the info on (...) (22 years ago, 7-May-02, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Wood and bacteria (was: question about the metric system)
