  RE: Bad Choices

(...) Good luck.... I actually think the scuzzy came about through the actual letters: 'sc' is generally pronounced 'sck' [I can't think of a better way to type this...You know the pronunciation of scum or scrap (that's the best way to describe it)] (...)   Bad Choices

I wonder if I can start an underground movement among Apple/Mac groupies, fanatics, etc... to change the _horrid_ pronunciation of SCSI (scuzzy) to something a little better, like SCSI (sexy). When I first learned about the small computer systems (...) (24 years ago, 25-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Desktops with SCSI RAM?

(...) I don't think RAM is a SCSI thing, is it? It's mostly for drives and other peripherals. Anyway, having SCSI desktop systems is part of why I like Penguin Computing. I saw an ad in Linux Journal yesterday for ASL (URL), and while I have no idea (...) (24 years ago, 25-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Desktops with SCSI RAM?

Does anyone know of a company that sells desktop PCs with SCSI RAM? It appears that to get SCSI RAM at Dell, you need to get a workstation instead of a Desktop... TIA, --Bram (24 years ago, 25-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Programming & LEGO legal stuff

(...) Sure, they definitely can. Are you using TurboPascal? Borland provides some convenient libraries. (...) Patents wouldn't apply, since you're not actually _making_ things. However, trademark and perhaps copyright might. If your game uses (...) (24 years ago, 24-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Programming & LEGO legal stuff

I'm planning to make a computer game, a lego related one. I'll try to learn Pascal (please, no "Pascal sucks! Use ###### instead!"-replies) and I have a question: Can games be made with Pascal? I got a book (it's from 1988 so it doesn't contain the (...) (24 years ago, 24-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: shameless bragging

(...) I really think this one is better than most -- the lab exam was cool, and seemed to actually test real-world skills. And I'm not just saying that. *grin* (24 years ago, 24-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: shameless bragging

Nice. Even very nice :) I'll admit to being impressed. Now you make me want to take it, and I don't like certifications... :) Dan (...) (24 years ago, 24-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

(...) Urg. It is some brand such that once one has thrown away the box (which I have) it is impossible to find out anything about it. It's made in Taiwan... (...) Thank you very much for the replies Eric. This is the program that I mentioned in my message.
