Now while this is true it is not the only case where a combination of rights
and or lefts constitute and right or at a minimum getting you to where you are
going 1/2 a minute faster in Massachusetts.
Lets see... I have seen all of these with my own eye's and usually regularly
too.
1. Right when you see your light turn red an before the other light turns
green make a quick left into the gas station or mini-mall on the corner proceed
through the pumps/parking lot and make a left just as the cars clear the road
proceeding through the light.
2. In many states Yellow means speed up to get through the intersection and
red means stop. Not in Massachusetts. Yellow means speed up slightly but as
soon as it turns red gun it before the other cars try and get through the
intersection. (Hence why I don't trust lights in Massachusetts and always look
both ways anyway when I am first in line).
3. In most cities 3 lefts do end up making a right but not in Boston. In
Boston 3 lefts never equal a right and 4 lefts will never bring you back to
where you started. This a Boston phenomenon and is being investigated as we
speak.
4. Gas stations were put on a corner for a reason. To avoid the intersection.
5. This one is really sweet. On a red light make a right into the corner gas
station proceed through the pumps, cross the road to the competitors gas
station, proceed through their pumps, and exit. This successfully avoids the
intersection and usually beats the light by a few seconds.
6. Plus don't forget if you can't pull out to make a left turn just block the
first lane until an opening comes in the lane you want. The other people arn't
in a hurry anyway and all that horn blowing is really applause for you're
ability to get where you want to go no matter what the cost.
There are lots of other examples I could site but I am in to much of a hurry at
the moment and can't take the time...
