Re: SNOW (was funny ebay auction)

(...) Nah, you must be misteaken. Thunder Bay isn't near Yellowknife. ;) (...) Cool. We have one of those too, except ours isn't quite so remote - just a 15 minute hike from the nearest highway (or a half-hour paddle across the lake). Running water (...)   Lego Commercial #1

Again I had alot of time on my hands today, so I decided to make up a few Legoized commercials! (This one is a parody of the Dryel commercials) *EXT. STREET DAY. WE SEE A WOMAN RUNNING DOWN THE STREET IN A HURRY* Woman: Sorry, excuse me!! (pushing (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Haunted Houses- What are your views?

(...) Didn't someone make a haunted house for the Halloween contest a few months back. All I remember was Timmy, and a bunch of red round 1x1 plates! :) Scott S. (26 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Hauntd Houses- What are your views?

(...) I think this is a great idea for Town. The Addams Family mansion comes to mind, which I think is Victorian in style: (URL) could be plenty of ghosts and skeleton minifigs, secret doors and passages, and a graveyard in the back. Plus Timmy and (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Hauntd Houses- What are your views?

(...) Hmm... I would say the White House, because Hillary Clinton talked to Eleanor(sp?) Roosevelt a few times. ;) Scott S. (26 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Hauntd Houses- What are your views?

The question I am asking is What makes a huanted house? I was thinking in terms of architecutral styles , interior design etc. Posted to fun as not sure if this a 'debateable' issue. Alex (26 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: SNOW (was funny ebay auction)

(...) Neh, just get those snazzy satellite phones. We're going to have to start burrowing (lugnet.underground) or flying (lugnet.space) if we want to get away, soon enough. best, Lindsay (who agrees that Thunder Bay is pretty doggone remote.) (26 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: SNOW (was funny ebay auction)

(...) That is just flat out not true. It is too "near something"... near the end of the earth. We (my inlaws and their friends) own a cabin (well, technically 99 year crown lease) at mile 180 1/2 Algoma Central railway. That's a wayback spot, you (...)   Re: SNOW (was funny ebay auction)

(...) This can't be true story... I've been to Thunder Bay - it isn't near anything. <grin, duck> James (URL) (26 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: SNOW (was funny ebay auction)

(...) Don't worry, the biggest shock I ever got was in '97. I left Victoria on the 15th of Jan, went home via "The Canadian" (quite nice, and relatively cheap for a under 25er). Got on in Vancouver, it was +10C and raining, got off in LongLac (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: SNOW (was funny ebay auction)

(...) Yup, I know. She was wondering how we could possibly call (and I quote) "a mere -20" cold, and claimed that if she could see over the snowbanks, winter wasn't there yet. Winterpegians are twisted, evil things. ;) James (URL) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) Wow, you just made me cry. Okay, I'm not the type of person who hap-hazardly throws around wild and dangerous exaggerations with a wanton disregard for community health... but I hate you with the burning intensity of a thousand suns. -Adam PS.   Re: SNOW (was funny ebay auction)

What is this "snow" thing you are talking about? ;-) We *did* get a "cold" front, so our high is now only 50-something degF instead of the 80-something it was last week. (26 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
