This brings back a memory of a movie which I forget the title but it
involves a family relocating across the country and all the
mis-adventures of the move and the new house, and then I think they
wound up moving back.
In any case, in this movie, the family had a "swear jar" where you had
to put a quarter in for each swear. When dad brings up the subject at
dinner, one of the kids swears and mom tells him to put a quarter in the
jar. After dinner, the kids are sent to do the dishes or something, at
which point the mom takes out a bill (I forget the value, more than a
one) and puts it in the jar (and then the scene cuts just as she takes a
deep breath).
I'll leave it to you all to speculate as to why I find that scene having
relevance here, but an examination of peoples political views might give
a hint...
