In fact, clone brands *have* come up with something on their own, namely a
less expensive product to allow children and collectors a wider range of
building choices than Lego alone can provide. However, to assert that all
clone brands are equal is like saying that the best Lego set of all time is
equivalent to the worst Lego set of all time. There exists a huge spectrum of
clone brands, and some are vastly superior to others.

Well, the MB figures are admittedly awful--I don't know why they don't
improve them. I would have to suggest that your terrible-at-best experiences
are non-representative of the overall quality of MegaBloks, especially in
recent years. Which sets, specifically, did you play with, and when? As has
been stated before, the current line of sets are of quite good quality, in
terms of design, piece count, and brick strength.
