Moc! Moc! Moc!!
Bottom line is that people don't have to wait 'months' for an MRI. The
naysayers always dredge up the worst case scenarios. Personal friends who have
had to get an MRI have had few days, and had to wait a week once to get an MRI.
I know for myself, never experiencing more severe than a broken arm or some
stiches, that I walk into any hospital or clinic and am tended to--no money or
insurance papers needed. My father, who has Lupus, has had the best in medical
care in a prompt fashion over the past 20 years. He has had to see differnt
specialists needed for that disease, and there was never a month waiting list or
payments out of pocket.
For me, I still don't know where some yappy pinheads get off talking about the
horrors of socialized medicine. Yes it needs improvement--gov't bueracracy
being what it is--always fiddling with things, but watching last nights VP
debate, we're not the only ones with issues of politicians screwing around with
health care. Some of the biggest election promises from our new PM is to put
more money into health care--no mention of the fact that whilst he was Finance
Minister, it was he who took it out of the system in the first place. But
that's more political, so I'll stop now
