See, what do Iraqis fighting the US, US soldiers who abuse Iraqi prisoners, and Catholic Priests who abuse children all have in common? They are all statistically insignificant minorities who cause great harm to a few individuals and undermine the progress/postions of the respective groups to which they belong.

Wow; this sounds just like ‘Nam! When will the helicopters evacuate the embassy?

Reports suggest that the abuse of Iraqis may be institutionalised.

Things are worse than I understood: the CIA’s former counter-terrorism chief Cofer Black has been quoted as saying about interrogation techniques that “after 9/11, the gloves came off”.

It is now being reported that there have been 25 deaths in custody... and lets be realistic, deaths in custody may well be the tip of the iceberg.

This “war” is not about freedom or American values: “An official said a soldier was convicted in the U.S. military justice system of killing a prisoner by hitting him with a rock, and was reduced in rank to private and thrown out of the service but did not serve any jail time.”
