Are you being secured? (or ...TSA? no: TIA! )

The Transportation Security Adminstration may be misnamed... there's an "in" missing, as in "INsecurity" (URL) there's a great article in the Feb issue of Reason as well. (21 years ago, 8-Jan-04, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Interesting article on Wal-Mart

I think this says it all: "We want clean air, clear water, good living conditions, the best health care in the world--yet we aren't willing to pay for anything manufactured under those restrictions." End result: the things we buy will all end (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-04, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Freedom of Religion? (was Re: A retrospective on moral clarity)

Re: Freedom of Religion? (was Re: A retrospective on moral clarity)

(...) None of the detainees have 'spiritual guidance' from their particular religions flavour--so at least there's no 'favouritism' going on--all detainees are being treated equally in this regard.
