(...) Are we gonna stick with things that have a stud, and/or "hole," or that can be held onto by a minifig hand, (dowel {sp?} diameter), or are we gonna go the "full" spectrum.   Re: The mythical gender-changing plates

I have some old tyco sets floating around, and I remember a gender changing plate with studs on both sides, but the plate itself was about 1/3 the thickness of a normal lego plate. I've never used it in any of my lego models because I like to use (...) (25 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: The mythical gender-changing plates

(...) Hmm... You raise a good point, and you also bring to mind another question: Do you have any idea how many "non-standard" clone pieces there are? That is, pieces that aren't readily equated, in terms of shape, to existing Lego pieces? That (...) (25 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

(...) Yes Dave, I know. You - me, a few others, (Joseph Gonzalez to be notable as well). But how many know how many colors these things come in?   Re: The mythical gender-changing plates

Why don't people ask me? I'm one of the BEST resident experts on clones and clone piece types. Tyco made male to male gender changers. They unfortunately have a 1/6 bick space that the studs attatch to. (For those that need help understanding the (...) (25 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: The mythical gender-changing plates

(...) Megabloks has the double-male pieces in 2x2x1/3 size. They are quite common, and I believe in several colours (although being a castle person, grey is what I remember most). (25 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: The mythical gender-changing plates

(...) It seems to me that I've seen a single stud double male part also (I'll have to dig into my clone-brands bucket tonight). I've also not checked what the actual thickness of the double male part is, it definitely is going to cause glitches in (...) (25 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Bloc-Tek Apache Helicopter

Anyone know anything about this Coko Apache? I found it at a KB ToyWorks tonight, and it's interesting.
