    MB quality —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Does the nuclear sub with sound element count as being within "the last two to three years"? That set, partially completed (the hull was about 4-5 rows of bricks high) crumbled under its own weight when extended 1 foot off the edge of a table (...)         Re: MB quality —Dave Schuler
(...) I'm afraid that that's an unfortunate and (IME) non-representative example. I've built simultaneously larger and flimsier structures that have stood up quite well under their own weight, so something else seems to be at play in your case. (...)      (...) How many samples do I have to take? It's representative enough for me, since it wasn't my first bad experience.... I've tried MB several times and always have been, in the end, disappointed with the quality. I have limited resources (of time, (...) (21 years ago, 22-Aug-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

(...) Obviously, you have to keep taking samples until you agree with me. (...) Then that's unfortunate indeed.         Re: MB quality —Richard Parsons
(...) Interesting test criteria. I wonder how many of the large Lego sets I have built over the years would have passed this test in partially completed states. Come to think of it, there aren't many Lego sets this big, so if you extended them a (...) (21 years ago, 27-Aug-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)
