  Re: Wal*Mart truck clone!

(...) Interesting! Do you have any other info? (ie., What kind of truck/how many pieces/what price/Lego-compatibility/was it in the LEGO aisle?) I haven't yet seen anything like this in my local Wal*Mart, but I wasn't really looking for it, either. (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jan-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Wal*Mart truck clone!

I was at the Wal*Mart in Keene, NH today & saw a clone brand (under the 'Wal*Mart' brand of toys ,whatever it's called) of a Wal*Mart truck, complete with mini-figure! Jeff (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Some Target finds

(...) Keep checking all the Targets in your area, Dave! The clearance schedule seems to vary. If it's that big set in the heavy metal box, even I am intrigued. If I find one for $12.44 I believe I will buy it, just to see what could possibly be (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Some Target finds

(...) I saw one of those once. Management would not believe my name was really Dave! (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Some Target finds

I was hoping to find one of those "Everything Dave can carry for one dollar" sales, but the management said they'd never heard of it. However, I did find some good deals (all names and prices approximate): Dragon's Warrior's fortress $18.84 (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: MB 2-Go sets #s 9114, 9115

(...) I wonder if these are sets for 2003. If so, I'm encouraged to see that the Warriors: Future Force lives on, in the hope that this tiny mech foreshadows additional releases still to come. You're right about the leg design, alas. (...) I love (...) (22 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  MB 2-Go sets #s 9114, 9115

See them here: (URL) sets are only "okay" as a build experience, and the "Dune" mecha kinda sucks actually (the leg design is quite useless) -- BUT... ...these sets are amazing for parts packs!!! Check it out: Trans-red, and trans-yellow detailed (...) (22 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Mega Bloks New Alien Agency

(...) You know, the dumb part of this post is that I had totally overlooked Erik's siting of these sets: (URL) pennance, I drove this morning to my nearest Wal-Mart some 10 miles from my workplace, but all for naught! The search continues... Dave! (22 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Mega Bloks New Alien Agency

(...) Looks pretty damn fine to me. The new elements include some large one piece wall sections - I don't like 'em in Lego, and I don't like 'em here. But the dislikedness of this bit doesn't overcome my general enthusiasm (and it does enhance the (...) (22 years ago, 30-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Mega Bloks New Alien Agency

(...) Everyone go check out www.megabloks immediately! From the main entry page, click on "Micro Collection" to see the catalog listings of the new Alien Agency products. It looks like they're going for a MIB-esque hide-in-plain-sight kind of (...) (22 years ago, 30-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Bilofix

Anyone know where Bilofix came from? Bilofix is very like Airfix Engineer*, an Erector like system with holed beams, nuts and bolts, wheels, and brick connectors. I have been told it's 1950s, even that Lego made it. Sounds like Billund. But then (...) (22 years ago, 30-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Mega Bloks New Alien Agency

(...) Now that they are at Wal-Mart, it is indeed a mold for making aliens. (22 years ago, 30-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Hello Kitty Clone Bricks

Hey clone fans, I found this a couple months ago at a Japanese grocery store in Seattle. It was one of four sets all Hello Kitty themed. I kept the box somewhere safe so I could take a picture of that too, it's so safe I can't find it now : ( (URL) (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: New ProBuilder Set?

I'm replying to my reply to myself, so I hope that no one objects to this breach of etiquette. This seemingly rare set has shown up on Ebay: (URL) set's really pretty nifty. No new or particularly unusual pieces, but the designs are good, and I love (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Dodged a bullet

I should've known better. Despite the specific warning by a correspondent a few months back, I still had not backed up the clone.dat library. So imagine my horror when I got some sort of weird, unclear Windows XP error resulting in a black screen (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Oxford Castles

Thanks Paul and Dave! Stuff looks great, but is the compatibility of the mini accessories with traditional Lego minis as bad as has been reported previously? What of the cost of the sets? Where/how were these sets obtained? -- Hop-Frog (22 years ago, 15-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Mega Bloks New Alien Agency

(...) Thanks for the heads up. Also security fencing, scientific dudes (all the figs in the warriors style of 3d torso customisation, except with more colour detail), and a tricky hangar thingie. (URL) the aliens - I might be missing my guess, but I (...) (22 years ago, 15-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)
