    New MegaBloks a-comin! —Dave Schuler
(URL) to Christopher Dean for the heads-up) (URL) own this one--it's quite cool. A few items of note-- 1120 parts Lots of 6 x 8 plates (a first for MB, I believe) Quite a few 1 x 2 tiles (in silver-grey and clear) (also a first) 6x 2 x 2 brick (...)       Jeeezzzzz..... (I know this has been voiced many, many times but...) If only Lego would produce sets with this piece count/price/size/playability value, they would sell a gazillion of them. Ron (22 years ago, 30-Sep-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: New MegaBloks a-comin! —Richard Marchetti
(...) Why worry about it? Just buy the MB and they can continue to improve their product with the increased revenues. I am not really that keen on any manufacturer's "model team" type models, but MB DOES make some wonderfully unique elements. And at (...)          Re: New MegaBloks a-comin! —Dave Schuler
(...) Their 2x2 brick seems less common in ProBuilder models than in earlier MB series. The old dinosaur sets were lousy with them; I have the sense that the designers sometimes chose two 2x2 bricks rather than one 2x4 brick for the sole purpose of (...)           Re: New MegaBloks a-comin! —Richard Marchetti
(...) Hmmm, I like the marbling... I guess I should have realized I had hundreds of 2x2 bricks in Dino and Galaxy colors, it's just that many of the newer sets use numerous 1x2 bricks instead of ANY 2x2 bricks. I never thought of it as element (...) (22 years ago, 1-Oct-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

(...) Mega Bloks does make 2x2 bricks. They do have way too many holes in their slope selection though. -Mike Petrucelli (22 years ago, 1-Oct-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: New MegaBloks a-comin! —Mike Petrucelli
(...) Whoa! You have my attention now! If it is not too much trouble could you more clearly define 'Lots of 6x8 plates' and perhaps say what color(s) they are. I was not really interested in this set, but if it has enough good pieces... (...) That (...) (22 years ago, 1-Oct-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: New MegaBloks a-comin! —Dave Schuler
(...) One of the cool new features of MB instructions is the illustrated and numbered piece inventory. I'll try to scan and post the image tomorrow morning. For now, here's an abridged piece breakdown. 2 black 1x2 tiles 2 clear 1x2 tiles 6 (...) (22 years ago, 1-Oct-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

(...) I (...) numbered (...) That would rock. Thanks for the list too. (...) Dimensions are large the the size in terms of load time is very small. No problem. (...) Cool. (...) -Mike Petrucelli (22 years ago, 1-Oct-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

(...) Well, how about the day *after* tomorrow morning... A little on the small side, but you get the idea:(URL) here's a shot of the fire axe, jaws-of-life, and fire extinguisher nozzle with a 2x4 plate for scale. Sorry about the annoying glare: (...)          Re: New MegaBloks a-comin! —Richard Marchetti
(...) Pretty cool to have a ready-made inventory. But getting back to the above list, the 1x2 tiles are VERY cool. Things are REALLY starting to heat up with clones I think. TLC had better watch its back -- and for all I know Gagmidor and (...) (22 years ago, 2-Oct-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

(...) Yeah, at 75 percent off they make nice space ship detail parts too! :-) On that note, it looks like the Mega Bloks fire engine ladder peices might make some nice catwalks. (...) -Mike Petrucelli (22 years ago, 3-Oct-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

(...) Despite the 11/15 date given on Amazon, this set is currently available at two of my local TRU's. Piece count is 805, but unfortunately the brown camo is applied by one of those camo-stick paint pens from the Warriors: Future Force series. I'm (...)
