Subject: New discovery....heaviest element known to science! A major research institution has recently announced the discovery of the heaviest element yet known to science. The new element has been named "Governmentium." Governmentium has 1 neutron, (...) (21 years ago, 22-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Could we all let it alone?

(...) To percolate is to pass fluid through a porous medium. It's most obvious use is in the preparation of coffee, although it is often used as a means to remove impurites from water. The study of percolation is a mathematical discipline often (...) (21 years ago, 22-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Two new MOCs

(...) <shudder> I like Tony's question--do they burn? :-) (...) Complain? Au contraire, mon capitaine! It is fodder for my grist in my mill! (...) Well, it would be cool to see one both ways for comparison. Let the people decide! (...) Good one:-) (...) (21 years ago, 22-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  Re: Two new MOCs

(...) I know--where are my priorities?!? (...) Years of exposure have inured me to any possible side effects, as far as I'm aware. (...) "Almost" is good enough for me! The hovercar could be mostly approximated with LEGO elements, with a few (...) (21 years ago, 22-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  Re: Two new MOCs

(...) You've got it all backwards--you crazy LEGO purists do it the hard way. Embrace the Mega Bloks, and the universe will be revealed to you. (...) What's the big idea? In 5+ years I've never heard you complain about my purple prose, but a purple (...) (21 years ago, 22-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  Re: Two new MOCs

(...) Great... warn us about the lack of profanity but don't bother mentioning the glaring, unforgivable, and unapologetic use of CLONE bricks. Frankly, this is the kind of newsgroup abuse I'm happy to take. Interesting work as usual. But don't your (...) (21 years ago, 22-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  Re: Two new MOCs

(...) Boooring... (...) Forget PCS and 3VIL-- this is what I call a competing theme! Though I am obviously a die-hard LEGO fan, I can appreciate the time and effort you have put into your Apocryphal Project. Do you always have to do things the hard (...)   Re: Moonbase Module - Mech Bay 07

(...) Tim, thank you for your honesty. Then I too am sorry. I was p**ssed as well. I'll take your advice. Though I generally try to already. I don't want to chase people away, but I will confront those who have ill will towards me. Either way, I am (...) (21 years ago, 21-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Know what I hate?

I'll tell you what I hate. I hate when I google something LEGO-related like, say, +"Galaxy Explorer" +LEGO SPACE OR CLASSIC and I get about 2000 hits. Then I refine the search with a -ebay modifier, and I get about 30 hits. Then I check each of (...) (21 years ago, 21-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module - Mech Bay 07

(...) Hi Eric, I'm sorry for the insulting tone in the parent email. You p**ssed me off and I was a lot ruder than I should have been. I would suggest that both you and I need to be less rude to other people. Either way, I am sorry for being nasty. (...) (21 years ago, 21-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

  Re: Heads up, atheists

(...) Man, feeling quite proud of himself, then went on to prove that black is white and got himself killed at the next zebra crossing... -HHGTTG--the next bit.   Re: Moonbase Module - Mech Bay 07

(...) It was Eric who brought up this point about number of responses, I merely pointed out that by his argument Bonktron was quite valid too, contrary to his previous posts. I take it then that you agree with me that it is not a good measure of (...) (21 years ago, 21-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Heads up, atheists

(...) In the same manner as are you, Dave! :-) But I have faith in you, Dave! For I believe that you embrace the sentiment of Socrates' statement (about arguments, and Truth): "For I would give the wisdom of Daedalus, and the wealth of Tantalus, to (...)   Re: Heads up, atheists

(...) Having done just that, I have a few observations: First, some of Socrate's initial arguments would have to be reworked assuming a single God. But I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem for Plato;-) Overall, this discussion simply reiterates to me (...) (21 years ago, 21-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module - Mech Bay 07

(...) And flying swastikas are doing well, as are just about any lame topic that is widely and incorrectly cross-posted.
