  Re: New MPD: Harley-Davidson Hovercycle

(...) Tim Courtney I also built a space tower better than Jons and yours that serves space food and my space tower has a lot of cool other things Tim like wings to help it escape the moon if the moon gets blowed up by aliens Tim.   Re: New MPD: Harley-Davidson Hovercycle

(...) Well I don't have the parts to build one like you guys do, but mine is ten times the size of yours in my own mind, and five hundred times better. Jon, do you serve space monster burgers and space monster steaks in your tower? I do in mine. (...) (22 years ago, 15-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Wanna' Solotrek?

We all know Solotrek is closing up shop: (URL) I bet someone out there would love to get their hands on this: (URL) can you spare a dime (or 500,000)? Matt (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Wal*Mart truck clone!

(...) I over-stated the apparent duplication of parts in the Wal*Mart set; several distinctive pieces are very similar but are undeniably different enough not to have come from direct copies of molds. I also just noticed that the underside of the (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Wal*Mart truck clone!

This set is definitly a Coko set. I have enough Coko to match these bricks and the minifigs against. Coko 100%... Instructions Coko style too. I also would like to see Coko developing sets again for the US market... Even if it is through Wal-Mart. (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: MOC: The Bipolar Bear

Dear (soon to be) Dr Braun, Thank you for your timely and kind response. In case you were wondering, the figurative nature of your post has not escaped me: It is clear that by stating polar bear is yummy, you make allegorical reference to the fall (...) (...) Don't forget, Richard, our president is George W. (And I suspect this is a quote that was taken directly from him by Dave!) Maggie C. (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Brief review of Alien Agency set 5601 "Freaky Fill-Up"

(...) You know, it's funny you should mention that. I had similar qualms, but I was afraid that I was just being too sensitive about it. Here are a couple of possible scenarios to help MB out of this sticky issue: 1. The bioplasm is an infection (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Brief review of Alien Agency set 5601 "Freaky Fill-Up"

(...) I get this idea, and understand the kiddie appeal, and without getting all pc (which I am emphatically not in so many other things), is it only me that finds this idea, also covered in the advertising, that our mission is to find aliens, and (...)   Re: How many bad men are good

Well before you can answer your question: How many bad men are good? you must first answer this question: How many good men are bad? I mean, if any in your good guy army are "bad" and traitors, you best have a good secret service, CIA type agency in (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.off-topic.pun)

  Hear! Hear!

Allan, You hit the nail on the head. The kind of fanatical nit-picking by fanatics of the books is the main reason I cannot continue to read the alt.fan.tolkien newsgroup. There is no joy to be found there, only the most self-serving perseverating (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Brief review of Alien Agency set 5601 "Freaky Fill-Up"

Price: $9.99 at Target Pieces: 95 Minifigs: 1 Aliens: 1 Disclaimer: Just bought it during my lunch hour; haven't had time to build it yet. Overall impression: Not a bad little set. A trifle pricy for MegaBloks standards, at just over $.10 per piece, (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Hey, James, I've been wondering...

(...) Nope that's not what it means. The "lead seaman" is the first guy out of the tube and leads the charge for that one almighty goal. Watch the opening scene of Look Who's Talking to see what I mean. Bruce Willis is the Lead Seaman. :) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
