I get this idea, and understand the kiddie appeal, and without getting all
pc (which I am emphatically not in so many other things), is it only me that
finds this idea, also covered in the advertising, that our mission is to
find aliens, and then cut them up, a bit peculiar?
Maybe I have just seen too many Star Trek first contact scenarios, but I'm
almost certain that exposing the entrails of visitors to the atmosphere is
considered a bit of a faux pas in every society ever known.
I am not a supporter of Lego's bollocks disavowing modern weapons policy,
but advocating vivisection on suspicion of alien-ness seems a little too far
in the opposite direction.
Maybe I just haven't yet seen the "Alien sentient-rights activist", the
"Ernest cynical journalist", the "Childlike primary school teacher and her
class", or the "Principled government consultant" sets that contain the
characters who challenge the mindless heartless self-serving bureacracy that
created the secret agency to 'investigate' (read 'exterminate') alien life...
Maybe I'm missing something.
Maybe I just need three of the yellows, two of the pinks, and half a blue
with a large tot of whisky...
