You know, it's funny you should mention that. I had similar qualms, but I
was afraid that I was just being too sensitive about it.
Here are a couple of possible scenarios to help MB out of this sticky issue:
1. The bioplasm is an infection that sheathes the aliens and
must be removed for their own good
2. The bioplasm is some kind of chrysalis, and we're "helping" the
aliens in their metamorphoses
3. The aliens are a malevolent force toxic to humanity, and only by
removing the foul bioplasm sheath can we protect ourselves
4. The Truth is Out There; find it and kill it
Ah, who am I kidding?
