  Groan of the week #22

Three guys are out fishing, and when they get back to their truck, they see it's surrounded by three bears. "OK guys, I figure the only way to get to the truck is to get these bears really angry. Then they'll leave and we can go home. So, Ed, you (...) (22 years ago, 2-Sep-02, to lugnet.off-topic.pun)

  Re: Criminal Justice

(...) Well, that's a fault of the kind of torts we currently allow. At the same time the destruction of what exists at the time of the loss is what is being protected. It's not that big a leap to assert that someone that has been earning "X" dollars (...) (22 years ago, 2-Sep-02, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Hey Y'all: See it here: (URL) to make things fun: Both the central figure and the heart symbol are constructed of CAD bricks, but I also did things in the design that you couldn't possibly do with real bricks -- and certainly not with Lego bricks (...)   Re: How to maximize 90-piece bags?

(...) Some quibbles with your math: - Your math assumes no shipping cost for the hypothetical 1x1 plate packs - If you factor shipping into the cost, you should assume all individual items are purchased at once - I wonder how many brick separators (...) (...) lens... I've been thinking about this for quite a while and I think that either I misunderstand your meaning, or you're wrong. The notion of equality under law, I think, is somewhat slippery. Further, it seems some times (this included) that (...) (22 years ago, 2-Sep-02, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Elgo set (not Lego) for sale

Well now I have an Elgo Skyline. Thanks, Ray. I'm intrigued by 3 alien bricks found in the Elgo--can anyone identify these? They are white, 1" by 0.5", height 0.5", with two square studs. Walls are nominally 1/16" thick and the square studs are (...) (22 years ago, 2-Sep-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: How to maximize 90-piece bags?

(...) Wow, I screwed up a little on typos. The Mosaic comes to 34.94, not 39.94. Also, the brick separator is 4.64 total, I forgot to include that. Amazingly, my math was still correct! (22 years ago, 1-Sep-02, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: How to maximize 90-piece bags?

(...) Actually, subtract ($9.99 + $2.95 shipping = $12.94) the X-large baseplate, and (7.99 + $2.95 shipping = $10.94) the 100 pack of black slopes and a ($1.69 + $2.95 shipping) brick separator from the ($29.99 + $4.95 shipping = $39.94) Mosaic (...)
