I see where X.com is now suggesting that people use it to settle auction
payments. This answers the question that some folks had about whether
you could refer your customers and get the bonus. You can.

However here's my question. Is it just me or is everyone else who's
tried this latelyt had some hiccups too?
I've had two people, at least, use me as a referral. I haven't seen any
payment. My mail to their customer support has went unanswered. The 800
number is always busy, and their online chat to talk to someone also has
went unanswered for 20 minutes before I gave up.
Is this a viral marketing success story that has swamped the company? Or
is it just me?
At this point I am nervous about asking people to pay this way, if I
don't see the money show up in my account, they are stuck and so am I.
Note that if someone says "it worked fine 2 weeks ago" that doesn't
count, that was then... this is now. X may be in an exponential growth
curve so I'm interested in TODAY's experiences. Or at least yesterdays,
anyway.

| (...) Can't help you then. We got 13 referrals to our account, but that was probably at least a couple weeks ago. What I can say is that since then I have made 2 purchases with my X.com visa checkcard, without a hitch. (25 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.theory)
