Um, don't you mean "CLOSE to 0"??
If you did a trade with a BrickLink store, you surely did it via buying stuff
from that store. (washed by that store buying stuff from yours to even it out or
close to it) To do otherwise (to set up a side transaction based on a contact
you made via BL provided facilities) would be a ToS violation, as you know, and
I'm sure you're almost as much of a stickler for abiding by ToSes as I am.
So you and that store owner paid the owner of BL commission on the sales, and
since he only accepts PayPal for payment, he will be paying PayPal fees on the
commission. That's a lot less than the fees if you settled the transaction for
cash of course but it's not 0.
I guess you can argue it wasn't you paying the fee in that case either... But
Paypal still gets the fee no matter who pays it.
