Re: Has the 4400 tub been discontinued?

(...) It was a very limited-release product...I think the going theory is that Lego was trying to get rid of excess inventory, hence the bizarre (yet wonderful) blend of odd parts, a lot of them one or two per tub. S@H received only a few, and had (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jan-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Any finds at Target?

Most of the Targets around here have the AT-AT at $49 and change. When/if it gets any lower I may pick one ot two up for parts. A few other items are discounted to 50% off. I did get 4404 for $40.00 yesterday there. (21 years ago, 5-Jan-04, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: 4405 Blue tub (1305 pieces) now available from S@H (UK)

(...) On a trip into Germany I found the 4405 bin. It was new to me, and once opened I was surprised by the remarkable piece selection of the 305 extra's. So now I found the above discussion, I 'd like to add two observations/speculations: - The (...) (21 years ago, 3-Jan-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.se)

  Skymall LEGO shopping

This seems like a venture by LEGO to present LEGO for sale to generally adult buyers... I noticed two pages of LEGO available via the Skymall magazine on a recent flight I took on United. Well, there IS a reason I had them listed under "Extremely Limited Quantities", you know ;-) I normally don't even list anything they have less than 10 of, unless it is something out of the ordinary I know there will be interest for. Geez, I HOPE not. I placed 2 orders today (online limited you to 10 per order), and I'd hate to see them cancelled.   Re: Improved Pick-A-Brick packing

(...) I guess in an ideal world I want to buy small parts by volume and large ones by weight, then. :-) (ideal for us I mean) But if you only get 100 2x4s for 13 USD, that's 13 cents a brick. That's way over my threshold for 2x4s, a common part, (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Improved Pick-A-Brick packing

(...) So if my math is correct (and it frequently isn't) it is still less expensive to simply scoop 100 loose 2x4's into a cup for $12.95 than it is to pay by weight for the same 100 2x4's. And the same volume presumably only gets heavier when (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)
