  KB Wholesale?

https://www.kbwholesale.com/ Has anyone ever tried this branch of KB ? Claim they sell B2B in case pack quantities. Currently they only have one LEGO item and it's not much of a discount but... ++Lar (23 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: KB Wholesale?

Never tried them, but at least in this case there are only 2 tubs per case, so you don't have to order a ton. $15 for that tub isn't bad, I've never even found it in a store, I've only gotten my copies from KB Toys in the past.   Re: KB Wholesale?

(...) Maybe yes, maybe no (on the discount). They claim that the tub was a $20 item, lugnet seems to think it was a '$40?' item. Set in question appears to be <set:4291>. The KBW picture shows a standard green lid with what appeas to be a green (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: KB Wholesale?

Peeron's pic is correct. I have about 5-7 of these tubs from a previous KB Online sale, and that's the baseplate, alright. And the tub DOES have a separate green lid, thankfully.   Re: KB Wholesale?

What I find humorous was that this used to be listed on the regular KB site for $15, with an "Original Value" of $25. Now it seems to be listed at a straight $19.95.   Re: KB Wholesale?

(...) KB in general confuses me. I just don't quite get their pricing strategy. LEGO sets an MSRP and most retailers hew to it, or go a few cents below (like Walmart) KB on the other hand is typically 10-20% above MSRP. I don't know other toy lines (...)   Re: KB Wholesale?

(...) I think trying to make the consumer THINK they're getting a deal is the point. Almost everything in the store has those handwritten prices in red ink on the labels. (...) (ersatz handwritten...) yes, I agree. But does it actually work. Don't answer that, because "yes" would just depress me. ++Lar (23 years ago, 8-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: KB Wholesale?

(...) I'd have to say that it does. Unlike us, not everyone knows what the MSRP of each set is supposed to be. Tell them that it is $25 and they'll believe you. I've not fallen for this at KB because I know to expect such things from them. I did, (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)
