I'm driving along thinking at the back of my mind that I need to stop and get
gas before I get home, when lo and behold, the gas station just up ahead has
signs that simply say "Lego". Wasn't there some string on Lugnet about Shell
and Lego? Hmmmm, it's a Shell station.

Yes, for once SoCal is not at the bottom of the Lego food chain! 10 different
sets, all in stock, $1.19 with $10.00 Minimum purchase (I presume gas, rather
than $10 of Lego) or $1.99 separately.
