St. Jacob's is just North of Kitchener/Waterloo, ON. It's about 45 min.
from where I am in Stratford. I'm just under 2 hours from the border at
Sarnia, about the same to the border at Windsor, depending which highway
you take. So, depending on which way to travel it might be just under 3
hours from the border to the store in St. Jacob's.
As an FYI, the term 'outlet store' is a bit of misnomer. The name of the
store is 'Countryside Toy Outlet' but they are privately owned and
operated, they are not a true company outlet store, as they are not owned
by LEGO.
However, LEGO is all they sell, and they do have a reasonably good
selection, priced generally about 10% below retail. Now, for those who are
interested in them, but may not want to make the trip, the store's business
card claims, "We Ship Anywhere". I'm not sure how far 'anywhere' extends,
but it might be worth giving them a call.
Of course, with no more LEGO Canada, it's my understanding that all of
their product will now be coming from the States. :( I'm not sure if
this will adversely affect their prices or not. I haven't had the
opportunity to get their yet this year.
Here is the rest of their contact information:
Countryside Toy Outlet
St. Jacobs Factory Outlet Mall
25 Benjamin Road
Waterloo, Ontario
Canada
N2V 2G8
(519) 746-5346
I hope that helps.
Best regards,
Allan

| (...) Hang on a sec... LEGO Canada still exists, does it not? There just isn't a Canadian S@H anymore. Or do you know something I don't? James (URL) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)
